Over the knee boots are a staple for the fall and winter seasons. This year, I finally made the investment and purchased my first pair. The neutral cognac color is classic and timeless. I have my eyes on a few black pairs too. They are surprisingly comfortable, and the leg-lengthening silhouette is this short girl’s dream come true. My tip for styling OTK boots is to pair them with clothing that’s covered up in at least one other place. If you’re planning on showing a little thigh, opt for long sleeves or a higher neckline. For colder temps, layer with a cape, trench, or peacoat.
Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. The changing leaves, the crisp cool weather early in the morning, drinking coffee and cooking with my mom all day, spending time with my family, the long naps after the big meal… there is so much to be thankful for. This year David and I were so excited to take our new pup Lincoln home to Oklahoma. I think my family mayyy have been more excited to meet their new grand-pup than they were to see me, but I can’t really blame them. He’s such a joy, and he’s SO CUTE. I mean, just look at that little pink belly. We loved getting to share him with our families. View Post
It’s so tough to find that balance of being in the moment and taking enough photos while on vacation. This was our first time to Charleston, so I focused more on being in the moment. My mom, dad, and brother came with David and I on this trip, and we loved spending time with them. I guess that just means we will have to go back someday so I can take more photos. ; ) If you have ever been to Charleston, you know how photogenic every inch of the port city is. View Post
Montrose, often referred to as the “Heart of Houston”, has become one of my favorite neighborhoods. It’s home to art galleries, antique shops, B&Bs, boutiques, quaint coffee shops and wineries, tree-covered bungalows, renovated mansions, and some of Houston’s best eateries. The culture is rich and diverse, and in the midst of it all is the Montrose Shop, a white-washed brick home turned into a lifestyle shop for the closet and home. The style is minimalist yet chic, a perfect illustration of the shop’s mantra “Paris Meets Texas”. View Post
